Winners announced for French Grands Prix de l’Imaginaire award

Winners of the 2010 Les Grands Prix de l’Imaginaire Award, given annually at the Utopiales festival in Nantes, France, have been announced.

  • French Language Novel: Le Déchronologue, Stéphane Beauverger (La Volte)
  • Translated Novel: Roi du matin, reine du jour (King of Morning, Queen of Day), Ian McDonald (Denoël)
  • French Language Short Fiction: Le diapason des mots et des misères (collection), Jérôme Noirez (Griffe d’encre)
  • Translated Short Fiction: Des choses fragiles (Fragile Things, collection), Neil Gaiman (Au diable vauvert)
  • YA Novel: Le clairvoyage et La brume des jours, Anne Fakhouri (L’Atalante)
  • Prix Jacques Chambon for translation: Gilles Goullet for Vision aveugle (Blindsight), Peter Watts (Fleuve Noir)
  • Prix Wojtek Siudmak for artwork: Beb Deum for FaceBox (Delcourt)
  • Critical Essay: “Echos de Cimmérie”, A homage to Robert Ervin Howard, directed by Fabrice Tortey (Oeil du Sphinx)
  • Special Prize: Le lac aux Vélies by Nosfell and Ludovic Debeurme (Futuropolis)
  • European Prize: La Maison d’Ailleurs (a science fiction museum in Switzerland)
